    What if I’m looking for a team to play on for a league or tournament?
    SoCo does not place individuals on teams or put teams together. You can put your own team together through your school, friends, or a team that you already play on. We also have a “free agents” program and you can also use the SoCo bulletin board.

    What if I’m looking for players to fill out my team?
    Check the bulletin board on the home page to see if there are any players looking for a team.

    How much does it cost to play in SoCo?
    The cost per player for teams with 10 or less players (at the registration deadline) is $105/per-player. The cost per player for teams with 11+ players (at the registration deadline) is $95/per-player. All teams must have at least 8 players to participate.

    Can I add players to my roster after the deadline? How?
    Yes, you can add players after the deadline. Simply print out the “add a single player” off our homepage, fill it out and have the guardian sign it, then mail it to SoCo or deliver it to a SoCo representative at a game site. Any additional players must be added prior to the 5th game played. If the player who is being added to the team is the team’s 9th or 10th player, the cost is $105/player. If the player who is being added to the team is the team’s 11th+ player, the cost is $95 for that player.

    How does the end of season tournament work?
    The end of season tournament is a single elimination tournament. Teams are seeded according to their regular season standing. Tie breaker rules are stated on the “rules” page of the website.

    What about practice time for my team?
    Each team is responsible for finding their own practice and practice facility.

    Does SoCo provide insurance for facilities?
    SoCo will provide liability insurance for facilities at which your team practices and plays. This is included in the cost of SoCo. Teams must be registered or related the SoCo league or tournament for the insurance to be effective. SoCo’s insurance is active for the following periods each year: Fall Season: August 1 through the end of the Fall SoCo tournament. Spring Season: February 15 through the end of the Spring SoCo tournament. Summer: June 15 through the end of the Rocky Mountain State Games tournament. Please contact SoCo if you need to provide your facility with proof of insurance.

    What size ball is used for the younger boys?
    All boys teams will use a boys basketball and all girls teams will use a girls basketball. No youth size balls will be used for any boys division.

    Are uniforms provided?
    Each team is responsible for their own uniform. The only requirement from SoCo is that player’s numbers are easily recognizable. If two teams have identical jerseys, with no option of reversibles, the visiting team must wear the SoCo supplied yellow pennies.

    Home vs. Away Designation
    The team listed after the vs. on the schedule is the home team. So if it says Hawks vs. Titans, the Titans are home team. If you are looking at YOUR particular schedule, for example, if there is a vs. next to the team you are playing, then you are away. If there is NOT a vs. then you are home.
